Hello,
The big news last week was the reveal of the games that will be played in Brighton & Hove as part of the Women’s World Cup. England take on Australia on Saturday 6th September on Sunday 7th September Ireland play New Zealand which will be a real grudge match after Ireland beat New Zealand in the 2014 World Cup and in the WXV last month, can Ireland keep their winning record?
Tickets were on sale last week as part of the MasterCard priority release and go on sale again on the 5th November. Kid’s tickets from £5 and top priced tickets for England game £35 and Ireland/NZ £25 so a relatively affordable day for some excellent rugby and possibly the group deciders for the knockout stage.
Last weekend the firsts were close to bagging a losing bonus point win before a last minute try by London Cornish meant they lost 41 – 26. The Beef also had a close loss away at Worthing losing 26 – 21. Both teams have this weekend off as the Autumn Internationals start. We will be showing the games so all welcome down at the club.
Sunday sees a double header of women’s games, at 11:30 the women’s vets take on Crowborough in a touch game followed at 2:30 when the women’s first take on Hackney, it would be great to see a crowd to cheer them all on.
Reminder about the Mini’s Halloween Party! All mini players and their and families welcome on Friday. Fancy dress encouraged for the disco and spooky party games from 6 – 8pm. Bar and Kitchen will be open from 5pm.
