A busy week for the club this week both on and off the pitch.

Hello,

It has been a busy week for the club this week both on and off the pitch.

Saturday saw a thrilling game on the main pitch as the men’s firsts took on Old Haileyburians where a number of cards saw Hove down to 14 players for most of the game (naming no names!!!) with the lead switching between the sides resulting in a 39 – 36 win to Hove. The Beef lost 7 – 38 to Pulborough and on Sunday the women lost to league leaders Trojans.

Once again, scheduling means we have no home games this weekend as the first head up the A23 to take on Haywards Heath and the Beef are just over the Hill against Brighton II so a pair of Sussex Derbies to look forward to. The women have no league games this weekend but are playing a development game on Friday night against Brighton University.

The clubhouse will be open to show all the Autumn Internationals this weekend, can the northern hemisphere teams secure a win this weekend?

It has been a week for the club and members being in the media. First off Manjinder was awarded two awards at the Inaugural British Asian Rugby Association Awards for her contributions to rugby, then on Wednesday, volunteers from the Women’s teams headed down to the Beach for a very chilly media day to promote the Women’s Rugby World Cup with coverage on local news channels and media. There are only a few days left to register for tickets so if you haven’t done so yet…. What are you waiting for.

It has also been a busy week for club volunteers to keep the kit store tidy, can anyone who is putting equipment back in please put things back tidily to reduce damage to the equipment and keep the space tidy and safe.

A reminder that on Friday 20th December we host the Minis Christmas party. The bar and kitchen will be open from 5pm and the party kicks off 6-8pm. This is a free event for our smaller members and there may even be a special guest appearance from you know who! All welcome.
