With work inconsiderately taking over my life last week this is a double bill on results! Who knew International Trade would be quite so manic! Happily, I can say there are two wins to report for the men’s first team. With an 18 – 11 win against East Grinstead on the 8th and 19 -27 win away at Old Haileyburians last weekend. The team have a rest weekend this weekend so they can hopefully enjoy watching the Six Nations. The women’s first team have a game at home on Sunday against Trojans and sure they would appreciate your support.

We will be showing all the Six Nations games this weekend with the Calcutta Cup showdown lining up to be a highlight of the weekend, and will the departure of Gatland reinvigorate the Welsh as the Irish head over to Cardiff!

The next club lunch is on Saturday 1st March before the men’s teams take on Haywards Heath and Brighton 2s. Main course is steak or vegetarian pie with mash and peas. Followed by either sticky toffee pudding or a cheeseboard for £15, children’s meal of bangers and mash followed by ice cream for £6. With February coming close to the end, we are looking towards the end of season and changes to the Club Executive. After 9 seasons as Chair I have decided it is time for me to step down so I will not be putting myself up for re-election at this year’s AGM. We will be sharing a role description and the process and timings for filling the role in the next few days.
