I hope you all had a good weekend with the men’s Six Nations Super Saturday and are ready to start watching the women’s competition which kicks off this weekend. A perfect opportunity to gather in the club to watch the games and see the players who will be featuring in the matches Brighton & Hove are hosting in the women’s world cup!

Last weekend saw the women win against Barnes leading to a must win game this weekend to secure their position in the league. The women’s game against Blackheath forms part of a double header at the club with a 3pm kick off as the men take on Old Rutlishians who are currently second in the league. The Beef are away against Ditchling. Sunday is also a busy day of Sussex Cup activity as we host the final of the U14 Girls Cup with Hove taking on a Haywards Heath/Uckfield combined team at 11 and at 2pm the Colts take on Worthing in the Mike Richardson Cup semi – final. Yaz will be firing up the BBQ from midday and the weather is looking promising!

We are kicking off a new fundraising drive this week Hove Rugby Club Solar for Energy as we are looking to instal a solar panel system to help reduce the electricity bills over the years. It is a challenging target to achieve, and we are looking at match funding options and grants to help with this.
