Sadly, I missed the games this weekend as I foolishly decided to go to represent Sussex and play rugby in the wooden spoon VetsFest. My body is still asking me why I thought camping for two nights and playing rugby at my age was a sensible thing to do. But it was fun!
Reports back from the men’s games on Saturday include more injuries and a loss for both teams. There are no league games this weekend so a chance for those injured to recover. The women’s development team were awarded a home walk over in the junior cup and move on to the next round.
The Women’s first team are in action this weekend with a league game away at Barnes and the Vets are due to play at 3pm on Saturday for those who need a rugby fix.
Due to low numbers, we have decided to cancel the volunteers night and will be looking at an alternative event later in the season.
Another call for to see if anyone is interested in taking on the kit laundry role. This is a paid role so if you know anyone who is looking for a job for a few hours on a Monday or Tuesday please get in touch. We can be fully flexible on times and able to work around existing commitments.
