Last weekend there were no senior games but had mixed fortunes the weekend before. In dreadful weather conditions the men’s first team pipped Weybridge Vandals 20-19 which was a great reward after having lost by a single point the week before at Haywards heath. We had to concede the Beef fixture due to low numbers available and on Sunday the women lost to Havant.

This weekend the men’s first are away at Old Rutlishians, The Beef host Ditchling and the women are away at Blackheath.

We have lots of social events coming up. I am looking forward to seeing lots of you at the sold-out quiz on Friday 13th December.

On Sunday 15th we have drinks and nibbles for all volunteers as it is the final youth training session this year. Starting at 12:00 and running throughout the afternoon all volunteers welcome.

The Club Christmas lunch is on Saturday 21st December before the men’s first team game against East Grinstead. A traditional Christmas lunch or a nut roast option will be served at 12:30. Followed by either Christmas Pudding or a cheeseboard for £18, children’s portion £7.50. To book contact Dean on dean@wantleymanor.com or on 07824700751 by midday on Thursday 19th. With nearly 50 already booked in it looks to be a great chance to catch up with friends.

On Friday 20th December we have the Mini’s Christmas Party. The clubhouse bar and kitchen will be open from 5pm and the party is 6-8pm. There may even be a surprise celebrity guest!

And don’t forget the legendary Hangover Trophy on New Year’s Day. There will be youth activity from 10:30, mixed touch from 11:00 and the main event ko’s at 12 noon. There will be a live band from 13:30 and once again we will be raising funds for the club and the Martlets hospice. Family and friend's welcome.
